3-2 Attaching an Optional CCD Unit

The BVP-550 is used in conjunction with one of four
different CCD units (OHB-450/450P/451/451P/550/
550P/550WS/550WSP), depending on the purpose.
The OHB-450/450P and OHB-451/451P come with
one filter, while the OHB-550/550P and OHB-550WS/
550WSP come with two filters.
Note
The illustration used in following sections shows
OHB-550/550P.

Bring the viewfinder mounting section forward.

Remove the right side panel of the video camera.
Loosen the four screws.

Connect one normal and two flat cables to the
connectors on the CCD unit, making sure the
cables do not cross another.

1Lift up the connector
nail and insert the
cable completely.
2Push down the nail to
secure the cable.
Use the four screws supplied to attach the CCD
unit to the video camera.
Tighten the
screws.
Attach the right side panel (removed in step 2) to
the video camera.
Stick the filter position label supplied with the
CCD unit on the right side panel of the video
camera.
