Step

Enabling the port down feature globally

The port down feature applies to scenarios where two devices (one active and one standby) are used for
high availability, for example, a network deployed with VRRP. This feature shuts down all LPU ports on the
active device immediately after both MPUs on the active device are removed or reboot abnormally. The
shutdown operation ensures quick service switchover to the standby device.
To enable the port down feature globally:

Configuring an asset profile for a physical
component
For management convenience, you can configure an asset profile for physical components, including
chassis, cards, fan trays, and power modules.
For power modules, you can configure only asset IDs.
To configure an asset profile for a physical component:
