9.3.5.2

Scan tag

If you have activated the "Edit Tag" function in the RF-MANAGER, you can use "Tag >
Scan" to select the interface for the scanning of tags.
See also Chapter Acquire data and transfer it to RF-MANAGER (Page 64).
9.3.5.3

Read Data

If you have already scanned a tag, you can select the data editor using "Tag > Read Data" in
order to edit tag data. See also Chapter The data editor (Page 65).
9.3.5.4

Write OTP

If you have activated the "Edit Tag" function in the RF-MANAGER, you can use "Tag > Write
OTP" to write once to the OTP area of a tag that is at a sufficient distance from the reader.
The "Write OTP" function is non-reversible.
Please note that the OTP memory area can only be written to once. It is not possible to
change the values in the OTP area of a tag at a later time.
Requirements
The memory area "OTP EEPROM" is selected in the data editor.
Procedure
1. Select "Tag > Write OTP".
2. Confirm the confirmation prompt "Caution! Switch on permanent write protection?" with
The data displayed in the data editor is then transferred to the tag.
Result
The data is identified on the tag as being no longer writable.
In the data editor, the protected areas following a read operation are displayed in gray.
