Prerequisites for working with the RF-MANAGER RF310M software

9.1.1

Required components

WLAN module
Communication with the runtime system of RF-MANAGER is performed over a radio link.
The SIMATIC RF WLAN module is required for this purpose.
9.1.2

Starting the RF-MANAGER RF310M software

To start the RF-MANAGER RF310M application, double-click the "RF-MANAGER" icon on
the desktop.

A connection to RF-MANAGER will only be established when you have started the RF-
MANAGER RF310M software and the WLAN connection is active.
After it has been correctly installed, the SIMATIC RF310M mobile handheld terminal
automatically receives its configuration from RF--MANAGER.
A Stop symbol is displayed at the bottom right in the display of the SIMATIC RF310M in the
following cases:
● During startup of the software
● During transfer of a new configuration from the RF-MANAGER
You cannot use the application as long as the Stop symbol is displayed.
