Installing the intrusion switch
To install the intrusion switch, do the following:

1. Prepare your server and remove the server cover. See "Preparing your server in advance and removing
the server cover" on page 55.
2. If needed, remove the old intrusion switch. See "Removing the intrusion switch" on page 88.
3. Insert the cable of the new intrusion switch and then the tab on the intrusion switch frame into the
corresponding hole in the chassis. Then, push the intrusion switch in until it is securely seated.

4. Connect the cable of the new intrusion switch to the branch connector on the front panel connector 2
that is connected to the system board. See "System board components" on page 31.
