1. Remove the backplane. See "Removing the backplane" on page 83.
2. Position the new backplane on the HDD cage so that the tabs on the HDD cage are inserted into the
corresponding holes in the new backplane. Then, move the backplane in the direction downward, and
then close the plugger to secure the backplane into position.

3. Slide the HDD cage into the chassis from the front until it snaps into position.

4. Reinstall all the hot-swap HDDs and dummy trays (if any) in the HDD cage. See "Installing a hot-swap
drive" on page 79.
