4 Mounting
4.5.1 Remove the protection against particles for EXCM-30-...-P8
To adjust the end stops (threaded pins), the pro­
tection against particles has to be removed for
the P8 version.
1. Remove profile covers (X-axes).
2. Remove the screws 1 on both sides of the
protection against particles.
3. Carefully pull the protection against particles
2 out of the slide unit.
4. Remove the slot nuts 3 .
5. Re-install the protection against particles 2
after setting the end stops (threaded pins) in
reverse order. Tighten the screws 1 with Loc­
tite 243 adhesive (torque 1.2 Nm).
6. Mount the profile covers (X-axes).

Setting end stops of the Y-axis

To reduce the risk of collisions between attach­
ment elements and parts of the planar surface
gantry, the stroke of the Y-axis can be adjusted
accordingly by means of adjustable end stops
(threaded pins).
Various thread pin pairs are included in the scope
of delivery.

The positioning accuracy of the product is dependent on a correct homing. This is only
possible with a hard, mechanical stop. Homing on the motor side should be preferred.
è Only use the end stops included in the delivery (threaded pins) – do not use elastic
materials.
