Mounting
Aligning X-axes parallel with each other
1. Manually move the Y-axis (traverse) back and forth along the entire stroke of the X-axes to establish
parallelism of the X-axes.
2. Tighten the screws at the clamp strip of the adjusting kit located in area (C) (tightening torque 1 Nm
±20 %).
3. Shift the Y-axis (traverse) into areas (A) and (D) and assemble the intermediate plate on the flange
plate at X-axis 2 (tightening torque 3 Nm ±20 %).
4. Shift the Y-axis (traverse) into areas (B) and (C) and assemble the intermediate plate on the flange
plate at X-axis 2 (tightening torque 3 Nm ±20 %).
5. Inspect both guide rails again for compliance with the limit values for evenness (è A.2 Flatness).
Checking height offset
1. Place inspection bases 3 onto the two guide rails 1 and 6 in the area of the opposing adjusting
kits 2 (è Fig. 4.14).
2. Make sure the inspection bases lie correctly on the guide rails.
3. Place the steel straightedge 5 onto the two inspection bases.
4. Use a precision spirit level 4 to check the guide rail of X-axis 2 6 in the area of the adjusting kit for
an offset in height in relation to the already aligned guide rail of X-axis 1 1.
è Setpoint value: š 0.1 mm/m (è A.2 Flatness)
