Mounting
Checking evenness (X-axis 1)
When using 3 adjusting kits per X-axis: the X-axis must not be in contact with the middle
adjusting kit during the check for evenness.
1. Make sure that the inspection bases 2 lie cor
rectly on the guide rail.
2. Check the guide rail 1 in the area of the ad
justing kits 4 for evenness by using a preci
sion spirit level 3.
è Setpoint value: 0.1 mm/m
(è A.2 Flatness)
3. Tighten the screws at the clamp strip of the
adjusting kit located in area (A) and (B) (tight
ening torque 1 Nm ±20 %).
4. Adjust X-axis 1 using the adjusting kit.
5. Position the middle adjusting kit on X-axis 1
and tighten.
6. Mount all adjusting options at the adjusting kit
(X-axis 1) (è www.festo.com/sp).
7. Re-check alignment.
Check axial alignment (X-axis 2)
1. Shift the Y-axis (traverse) 1 in the direction of
the drive the stop position.
2. Shift X-axis 2 2 against Y-axis (traverse).
3. Tighten the screws at the clamp strip of the
adjusting kit located in area (D) (tightening
torque 1 Nm ±20 %).
The X-axes are correctly aligned in axial direction if both stops simultaneously form con
tact with the Y-axis (traverse).
