DAMAGE TO THE UNIT!
For units fitted with an electric heater or DX evaporator the factory-set speed
must not be changed!
A series resistor is used for speed control of fan motors. Three fixed speed stages
are pre-set by the factory using the series resistor.
Changing speed can only be performed by shifting adjustable clips.
HAZARDOUS VOLTAGE!
Risk of short circuit! Adjustable clips must not contact each other! Clearance
from start of the series resistor until the first adjustable clip must amount to a
minimum of 20 mm! Risk of overload of series resistor!

DAMAGE TO THE UNIT!
It is not allowed to change speed with any of the series resistors on units of
model size 8! Series resistors may burn through!
Use screws to secure the protective cage (if
available) to the series resistor (see Fig. 6-2; Pos.
1).
Loosen the clips(s) (see Fig. 6-2; Pos. 2, Pos. 3
and/or Pos. 4) of the corresponding speed(s).
Shift adjustable clips:
clip of speed 1 (see Fig. 6-2; Pos. 2)
clip of speed 2 (see Fig. 6-2; Pos. 3)
clip of speed 3 (see Fig. 6-2; Pos. 4)
Tighten all clip(s) again.
The installer must ensure that positions and
clearances of clips of both series resistors (model
size 8) are exactly the same.
Mount the protective cage (if available) back in
place again.
