NOTICE!
This note is only valid for units with a heating function.
This function ensures a frost-free condition when the unit is switched off.
At room temperatures < 4 °C, the valve is fully opened or electric heater on.The
fan is activated at the lowest speed, regardless of the inlet temperature.
At room temperatures > 6 °C the valve is closed and fan deactivated. Normal reg-
ulation mode is activated.
For this function an external sensor must be connected. This function enables a
shift in the room temperature setpoint depending on the ambient temperature.
Application example:
Starting from 26 °C outdoor temperature, it is requested to increase the room tem-
perature setpoint by 0.5 °C per 1 °C rise of outdoor temperature. The setpoint
should not be increased any further if outdoor air temperature reaches 32 °C.
Thus 26 °C as the start temperature and 32 °C as the end temperature should be
entered.
The setpoint offset is calculated as follows:
(End temperature - start temperature) * 0.5 °C (the increase per °C external tem-
perature increase)
(32 - 26) * 0.5 = 6 * 0.5 = 3
The factory-set parameters can only be changed via the MATRIX.PC service soft-
ware.
Geko-DRIVE is an appliance for enhancing comfort in cooling mode. Geko-
DRIVE makes it possible to reduce air draught that can be especially felt during
cooling mode. Geko-DRIVE principle is to maintain a constant penetration of
indoor space with directed air throw at unit discharge during varying temperature
values.
Rebalancing penetration depth is easily possible through a control panel (see
operation manual on control panels with display).
