In order to meet the hygienic requirements (VDI 6022, SWKI VA 104-01) internal
unit insulation must be checked for dirt and mould and, if required, cleaned and
disinfected.
If required, apply sufficient cleaning/disinfecting agent on the insulation with-
out exerting pressure.
After sufficient exposure time wipe the insulation with a cloth or rinse the sur-
face with water and brush.
Now mount all removed components in the reverse order.
DAMAGE TO THE UNIT!
For cleaning use only commercially available cleansing agents based on sur-
factants and light alkaline agents without added organic solvents (such as ace-
tone, petrol, etc) or soft soap.
For disinfecting use hydrogen peroxide in water with a maximum of 3% solu-
tion. Other disinfecting agents such as chlorine, hypochlorite or organic bio-
cides can damage the insulation material and lead to formation of detrimental
reaction products. It is therefore prohibited to use such substances.
Unit casing has already been removed (refer to section 4.3)
HAZARDOUS VOLTAGE!
Before completing the following work, ensure that the unit is isolated and
secured against being energised at an appropriate point of the on-site power
supply.
Before completing work on the air treatment unit, ensure that the electrical con-
trol box is properly closed (refer to Chapter ).
Open the terminal box or the electrical control box.
Check that all electrical connections are securely fixed in the terminal strips.
Use a suitable measuring device to check for proper earthing of the unit.
Close the terminal box or the electrical control box.
Manually check fixation of actuators (Fig. 8-5, Pos. 2).
