• Discharge electrostatic charges from yourself before touching the circuit boards with your
hands or any tools. To do this, touch a preferably earthed metal object, such as the PBX's
earthing terminal or a computer case.
Important: Before you insert a COMpact 2BRI module, first make the necessary port
settings on the module (operating modes and terminators).
The slot on the far left (A) is exclusively reserved for the COMpact CPU module included in
the scope of supply. The slot on the far right (4) is exclusively for the use of the COMpact
4DSP Module.
Inserting a Module
1.
Slide the module into the board guides (A)
with the component side pointing to the left.
2.
Press the module backward until the board
lock (B) clicks into place.
Removing a Module
1.
Unlatch the board lock, for example with your
right thumb.
2.
Remove the module with your other hand.

Closing the Casing

Requirements:
• Screw driver (Phillips)
1.
Remove the dummy panels at those points where modules
have been inserted by pressing them outward from the
inside, for example with your thumb.
Note: Dummy panels that have been removed can be reinserted
any time. For a COMpact 2FXO module with only two RJ-45
sockets you can break a dummy panel into halves at intended
breakpoint at the centre and reinsert one of the halves.
2.
Place the front panel onto the casing.
3.
Secure the front panel with its four screws.
