4.7.3 The VB250 COFDM Demodulator Module (VB220 Option)

The VB250 COFDM demodulator is an optional input interface module.
The connectors are:
RF IN: RF input – 75 ohm F-connector
1PPS IN: 1PPS reference clock input - 50 ohm BNC female
ASI OUT: ASI transport stream output – 75 ohm BNC female
GPI: Alarm relay output – 9 PIN D-sub male
GPI – Pinout of alarm relay output (to be implemented)
Normal operation
Pins 6-7: Contacts closed
Pins 7-8: No connection
Pin 5: Gnd
An LED indicates whether the demodulator locks to the incoming RF signal or not.
Note that the 1PPS signal from the mid-slot is used as reference for all COFDM input
signals if the chassis is equipped with two VB250 interface modules.
The VB250 module was made end-of-life in 2010 and is now superseeded by the
VB252 dual DVB-T/T2 input module.
