NB! The record feature is not available in the probe if the OTT license option is
activated due to resource limitations.
The record feature allows a short portion of a transport stream to be recorded for
further analysis. The recording can be of an Ethernet multicast or one of the RF/ASI
interfaces. The recording is triggered either manually or by alarms, as specified by the
user. A maximum of three different alarms may trigger recording. A selectable
protection period ensures that recorded data is preserved long enough for the user to
take action as required. The recorded file may be saved to an external disc (e.g. a PC),
usually by clicking the filename and selecting the save option, but this depends on the
web browser being used. If the browser does not support files with extension .ts, the
user may save the file to disc by right clicking the filename link and selecting
Download linked file or Save target as.
In basic record mode, i.e. when alarm mode is not selected, the recording will start
when the user clicks the Record button as shown below (after a short delay of
approximately 2 seconds - note that screen update will generally be slower than actual
record start time).
