9. MAINTENANCE
The Aethalometer needs to be maintained regularly.
We recommend the following schedule for regular maintenance.
Check the sample inlet flow
Inspect the sample line tubing
Inspect and clean the size selective inlet (if
present)
Inspect and clean the insect screen
assembly (if present)
Verify time and date (if not set to update
automatically)
Inspect optical chamber, clean if necessary
Flow check (flow verification, flow
calibration)
Leakage Test
Clean Air Test
Stability Test
ND filter test
Lubricate optical chamber sliders
Install a new filter tape roll
Change by-pass cartridge filter
*Site dependent, use educated judgment or exchange when completely used.
