7. INSTRUMENT INSTALLATION
7.1 Unpacking the system
Take the instrument out of the box and place it on an even surface. Keep the back of the
instrument accessible.
Remember to remove the red protective caps on the inlet and exhaust ports before operation!

7.2 Attaching the air sample inlet line
The instrument is supplied with several meters of special sample line tubing. This is made from
static-dissipative polymers to minimize particle losses. Keep the sampling line as short as
possible and do not substitute any material (other than metal tubing) for the special static-
dissipative tubing (PN M4997). Be especially certain to never use Teflon tubing for any portion
of the sample inlet line.
When installing the sample inlet line, avoid sharp bends. Insulate any sample inlet tubing from
the cold discharge of an air-conditioner, as this can lead to condensation of humid air inside the
