When a status flag 3 (decimal) is shown, the Aethalometer is stopped. For all other values of
the status code it continues to operate with a warning, and the data is flagged accordingly.
IMPORTANT!
Measurement data is recorded for all status code values other than those indicating that the
instrument has stopped or is performing programmed or manual tests. These cases are
indicated by status code values of 1, 2, 3, 1024, 2048, 3072, 4096, 6144.
The overall status is a sum of the values in Table 1. These status flag add, for example:
Examples:
Status = 0, all OK -> front panel LED's GREEN
0
0
Status = 1, all OK, tape advancing -> blinking GREEN LED
0
0
Status = 128, instrument is running, tape advance warning flag is set -> YELLOW
0
1
Status = 289, 289 =256 + 32+ 1 -> instrument is performing a Tape Advance; there was a
calibration error in one LED channel of the optical source; and the tape sensors show that only
5 tape advances remain.
