NOTE: Following scale readings and Gross Axle Weight
Ratings are fictitious. Actual scale readings and Gross Axle
Weight Ratings will vary with model and options.
The motorhome must be weighed fully loaded to obtain accurate scale
readings and to determine the proper tire pressure. All slide rooms must be
in retracted position.
• Take the rear axle Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) and divide it
by two. Example: Rear axle GAWR taken from the motorhome Vehicle
Certification Label is 20,000 lbs. Divide the figure by 2, using chart
below, record 10,000 lbs. on Scale B and D, line 1.
• Weigh the driver side rear corner (Scale B) and record weight on chart
Scale B, line 2. Example: 7,100 lbs.
• Weigh the passenger's side rear corner (Scale D) and record weight on
chart Scale D, line 2. Example: 6,900 lbs.
• Add chart Scale B and D, lines 1, for Gross Axle Weight Rating
(GAWR) and record on chart under Totals. Example: 20,000 lbs.
• Add chart Scale B and D, lines 2, for actual Gross Axle Weight (GAW)
and record on chart under Totals. Example: 14,000 lbs.
• Actual Gross Axle Weight (GAW). Example: 14,000 lbs., is not to
exceed Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR). Example: 20,000 lbs.
