DISASSEMBLING THE WATER PUMP
1. Remove:
• Mechanical seal assembly "1"
TIP
Remove the mechanical seal assembly from the
inside of the clutch cover "2".

CHECKING THE WATER PUMP
1. Check:
• Water pump housing
• Clutch cover
• Impeller shaft
Cracks/damage/wear → Replace.
2. Check:
• Radiator outlet hose
Cracks/damage → Replace.

ASSEMBLING THE WATER PUMP
1. Install:
• Mechanical seal assembly "1"
(into the clutch cover "2")
TIP
Install the mechanical seal assembly with the
special tools to the specified depth as shown in
the illustration.
Install depth "a"
0.2–0.7 mm (0.01–0.03 mm)
