TROUBLESHOOTING
Any of the following fail to light: headlight, high beam indicator light, taillight, license plate light, auxiliary
light or meter light.
TIP
• Before troubleshooting, remove the following part(s):
1. Front cowling assembly
2. Mudguard assembly cover
3. Passenger seat
4. Center cover
5. Rider seat
6. Side covers
7. Fuel tank
1. Check the each bulbs and bulb
sockets condition.
Refer to "CHECKING THE BULBS
AND BULB SOCKETS" on page
8-79.

2. Check the fuses.
(Ignition, signaling system, backup,
headlight, and main)

ES" on page 8-81.

3. Check the battery.
Refer to "CHECKING AND
CHARGING THE BATTERY" on
page 8-82.

4. Check the main switch.
Refer to "CHECKING THE
SWITCHES" on page 8-77.

5. Check the dimmer switch.
Refer to "CHECKING THE
SWITCHES" on page 8-77.

6. Check the pass switch.
Refer to "CHECKING THE
SWITCHES" on page 8-77.

Replace the bulb(s) and bulb socket(s).

Replace the fuse(s).
NG →
• Clean the battery terminals.
• Recharge or replace the battery.

Replace the main switch.
NG →
• The dimmer switch is faulty.
• Replace the left handlebar switch.
NG →
• The pass switch is faulty.
• Replace the left handlebar switch.
