REMOVING THE GENERATOR

• Generator rotor bolt "1"

While holding the generator rotor "2" with the ro-

tor holding tool "3", loosen the generator rotor

(with the flywheel puller "2")

• Woodruff key

To protect the end of the crankshaft, place an

appropriate sized socket between the fly-

wheel puller set center bolt and the crank-

REMOVING THE STARTER CLUTCH

• Starter clutch bolts "1"

GENERATOR AND STARTER CLUTCH

• Generator rotor "2"

• Starter clutch "3"

• While holding the generator rotor with the rotor

holding tool "4", loosen the starter clutch bolts.

• When removing the starter clutch from the gen-

erator rotor, make sure that the rollers "5" and

starter clutch inner race "6" in the starter clutch

remain in place.

• Starter clutch inner race "1"

• Starter clutch rollers "2"

• Starter clutch outer race "3"

Damage/wear → Replace.

• Starter clutch idle gear
