Single Appliance Installation—Single-Port Mode
A single SSL device provides SSL offloading and processing for an entire server farm. This
mode of operation is designed to be used in conjunction with Layer 7 switches. Additionally,
the content switch must be configured to provide the filtering and security methods
because the SSL appliance cannot prevent plain or clear text access to your server's secure
data while in this mode.

Install the appliance as instructed previously.

Make both the network and server access connections to the "Network" Ethernet
interface.

Initiate a serial management session, as described in Chapter 5 Configuration
Manager, and set the appliance for single-port mode using the following
commands:
enable
configure
mode one-port
