Locating the SSL-R (Rack Mounted and Free Standing)
To mount the appliance in a standard rack, use the six mounting bracket screws (included)
to attach the rack-mounting brackets to the chassis. Use four rack-mounting screws
(included) to mount the appliance securely to the rack. Alternatively, place the appliance
on a shelf, allowing at least an inch of space around the sides for adequate ventilation.
The Maximum Rated Ambient Temperature (Tmra) for these appliances is 105°F
Note:
(40°C). To ensure the Tmra for these devices is not exceeded, allow at least one
inch of space around the four sides of the appliance when mounted in an open,
closed, or multi-unit rack frame. This
equipment is designed to support only
its own weight. Do not place other
equipment or material on these
appliances.
Connecting to Power
If you are installing an SSL-IA, attach the power
supply to the power input on the appliance and plug
the other end into an AC power outlet.
If you are installing a SSL-R, ensure the power
switches are in the "0" (off) position, attach the
power cables to the power inputs on the appliance,
and plug the other ends into AC power outlets.
These outlets should be on different circuits to
further ensure appliance availability. Toggle the
power switches into the "1" (on) position.
