Before final mounting the edges should be sanded to a smooth finish. Start with 400 grit paper and work down
to 1200 grit before finishing with 3M plastic polish for a nice finished edge. Be extra careful not to scratch the
surface of the lens, using a small paint stick to wrap the paper around helps.
