Coded Cashier Numbers
In many restaurants, cashiers log on with a code number. This log-on method saves space
on your keyboard and provides additional security. If you use this procedure, each cashier
is given a number, which is also programmed into the system. The number can be one to
seven digits. To log on, press the CSHR key, enter your cashier number, then press CSHR
again.
If "Call Manager" or a similar message displays, a manager must log on for you.
Employee Card Log-On
If you use the Magnetic Card Reader for log-on, each employee is issued an employee
card, which has an encoded number. When you are ready to log on, press the CSHR key.
Then run (or "swipe") your employee card through the reader.
