Usage guidelines
Use the DHCPv6 snooping feature together with trusted port configuration. Trusted ports forward
responses from DHCPv6 servers and untrusted ports discard responses from DHCPv6 servers. This
mechanism ensures that DHCPv6 clients obtain IPv6 addresses or prefixes from authorized
DHCPv6 servers.
When DHCPv6 snooping is disabled, all ports on the device forward responses from DHCPv6
servers.
