TBS2000 Series Programmer
Acronym for the American Standard Code for Information Interchange. Controllers transmit
commands to the digitizing instrument using ASCII character encoding.
A 7-bit code that identifies an instrument on the communication bus. The digitizing instrument must
have a unique address for the controller to recognize and transmit commands to it.
A standard notation system for command syntax. The syntax in this manual use BNF notation.
A computer or other device that sends commands to and accepts responses from the digitizing
instrument.
A generic acronym referring to the end-of-message terminator. For GPIB, the end-of-message
terminator is either an EOI or the ASCII code for line feed (LF). For USB, the end-of-message
terminator is the EOM bit in a USBTMC message.
Acronym for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
An acronym for Universal Serial Bus.
An acronym for USB Test and Measurement Class.
The USBTMC subclass specification that implements an IEEE488-like interface over USB.
