This manual provides the main information to carry out regular maintenance operations on your vehicle. This manual is intended to Moto Guzzi Dealers and their qualified mechanics; several concepts have been deliberately omitted as they are considered unnecessary. As it is not possible to include complete mechanical notions in this manual, users should have basic mechanical knowledge or minimum knowledge about the procedures involved when repairing scooters.

Moto Guzzi California 1400 Engine Upon replacing the bearings it may be necessary to ream the crankshaft pin. Before reaming the crankpin, measure the pin diameter (B) comparing it with the maximum wear al- lowed, as indicated in the figure; this defines what kind of undersizing the bearing should have and to which diameter the pin (B) should be reamed.
