Step 7.
Remove PCI riser-card assembly 3 first if it is installed on the system board (see "Removing a PCI
riser-card assembly" on page 169). Afterwards, grasp the two handles located on the sides of the
rear 2.5-inch hot-swap-drive kit, and slowly lift it out of the chassis.
Attention: Always follow the installation sequence in this step. Failure to do so, may result in
damage to the rear 2.5-inch hot-swap-drive kit.

Step 8.
If you are instructed to return the rear 2.5-inch hot-swap-drive kit, follow all packaging instructions,
and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
Replacing the rear 2.5-inch hot-swap-drive kit
Use this information to replace the rear 2.5-inch hot-swap-drive kit.
To replace the rear 2.5-inch hot-swap-drive kit, complete the following steps:
Step 1.
Read the safety information that begins on "Safety" on page v and "Installation guidelines" on
page 116.
Step 2.
Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords.
Step 3.
Remove the cover (see "Removing the cover" on page 119).
