 NOTE: If the drive clutch will not release, sharply
strike the head of the puller. Repeat this step until the
clutch releases.
8. Disconnect the oxygen sensor and remove the spring
securing the resonator to the chassis.
Non-Turbo
Turbo
9. On the non-turbo models, remove the flange nuts
securing the MAG- and PTO-side exhaust pipes to
the engine and remove the exhaust and resonator
pipes from the chassis.
 NOTE: On the turbo models, remove the three cap
screws and lock nuts securing the exhaust resonator
to the exhaust pipe; then remove the resonator.
10. With a funnel in position between the oil reservoir
and the exhaust opening of the skid plate, remove the
drain plug from the oil reservoir. After the oil has
drained, install the drain plug with a new O-ring (if
necessary) and tighten to 15 ft-lb.
11. Using a suitable vacuum pump, remove the coolant
from the coolant/oil separator tank; then loosen the
clamp and remove the hose from the tank and the
lower heat exchanger. Remove the coolant from the
lower exchanger.

12. Disconnect the harness connectors and hoses from
the air bypass control valve (A) and waste gate con-
trol valve (B).
 NOTE: For installing purposes, note the location
and routing of the harness connectors and hoses.

13. Remove the screws and turbocharger cover; then
remove the waste gate control valve hose from the
turbocharger noting the location of the clamp for
installing purposes.
