1.5 Removing and installing front bucket
seat backrest cover and padding
Note
Removal and installation is described for the left seat. Follow
same instructions for removal and installation of components of
the right seat as appropriate.
1.5.1 Removing
– Attach seat repair stand -VAS 6136- to engine and gearbox
support -VAS 6095- .
– Remove front seat ⇒ page 260
– Secure seat to seat repair stand -VAS 6136- .
– Remove front left bucket seat trim
– Remove front belt buckle:
♦ Two-door ⇒ page 98
♦ Four-door ⇒ page 100
– Remove front right bucket seat trim
– Remove front bucket seat backrest
Note
As of chassis number 2615638 (calendar week 25/2006), backrest cover is secured to backrest with addi‐
♦
tional clips (N.107.297.01).
Carefully remove clips from continuous channel using a suitable tool.
♦
♦ Ensure clips are installed in original positions when installing clips.
