Removing and installing seat occupied
sensor, front passenger side -G128-
WARNING
If the seat occupied sensor, front passenger side -G128- is re‐
newed, the front seat cushion padding must also always be
renewed!
4.21.1
Removing
– Attach seat repair stand -VAS 6136- to engine and gearbox
support -VAS 6095- .
– Remove front seat

– Secure seat to seat repair stand -VAS 6136- .
– Remove right front seat trim
Vehicles with manually adjustable seat
– Remove left side trim on seat
– Remove bar and operating lever for front seat
Vehicles with electrically adjustable seat
– Remove left side trim on electrically adjustable seat

– Remove bar and operating lever for front seat
All vehicles
– Remove front seat drawer mounting
Note
In vehicles fitted with a through-loading aperture, it is sufficient to
fold the backrest forwards. It is not necessary to remove the
backrest.
– Remove front seat backrest
– Remove cover and padding, front seat cushion
WARNING
Seat occupied sensor, front passenger side -G128- -1- is bon‐
ded firmly to the padding of the seat cushion. Isolated removal
and installation is not permissible; the sensor must always be
renewed with the padding.
