Fire protection housing (F30)
The fire protection housing (part no. 788030 = RO or part no. 788031 = LO) enables the installed fire alarm
control panel (FACP) to maintain its function (fire resistance class F30). The manufacturer's documentation
enclosed in the fire protection housing (F30) must be observed when assembling and installing the FACP
(warranty in accordance with manufacturer's specifications, Priorit AG).
Installation instructions
•
The installed devices (FACP) must be disconnected before opening the housing.
•
Appropriate measures and labelling must be used to ensure that the housing is not touched directly.
•
Possible ignition sources within a radius of at least 10 m of the housing must be removed before opening the
housing.
•
Only use wireless tools when opening the housing.
•
Check that the housing is in the correct position and that all seals are complete (fire protection seal, smoke
protection seal).
•
Consider heat development in the interior of the housing through the power loss of the installed devices. Use
ventilation if necessary.
•
Observe requirements according to DIN 4102.
•
The swivel range of the door must always be kept free and the housing door must be kept closed when in
operation.
•
Incorrect installation can affect the protection function.
•
The housing may not have anything stuck to it (apart from the fire protection label), be varnished or coated in
any other way and there must not be any damage to the body of the housing (holes, screws). The catch
systems may not be changed or replaced.
•
Observe the reduced ambient temperature (-5 °C to + 38 °C) of the installed FACP.
Assembly
The fire protection housing (F30) must be installed on a suitable wall surface (even, solid). The bearing power of
the wall surface and the fixing material must be suitable for the high weight of the housing and the installed
devices.

The housing door can be removed from the hinges facilitate assembly.
2.
Align the housing horizontally on the wall surface.
3.
Mark the visible holes on the wall through the mounting lugs (above/above and below).
4.
Drill the holes for the housing fastening to a depth of at least 145 mm in the building wall (use
enclosed/suitable anchors and screws) using a carbide drill (10 mm).
5.
Remove drill dust from the borehole, drive in the frame anchor and secure the housing using the enclosed
screws.
6.
Refit the housing door into the hinges.
7.
Insert the connection cable through the cable bulkhead of the housing. Close any housing openings that
there might be using the fire protection measures.
8.
Install the fire alarm control panel (FACP).
Fire protection housing may only be fixed to walls of an equal or higher fire protection class.
Depending on the burning time, an ignitable steam/air mixture may have developed in the interior
of the housing. Following a fire, the housing may only be opened after a period lasting at least 6
times the duration of the burning time.
