5.22 BATTERY (12V - 14Ah)
The battery housing is in the central channel.
Installing the battery:
• Take a charged battery.
• Place the adhesive band supplied with the vehicle as shown in
Fig. 41, removing the two protective films from the ends of the
adhesive area, as shown by the arrow in the drawing (P - Fig. 41).
• Undo the screws (V - Fig. 42) and remove the seat.
• Undo the screws (A - Fig. 43) securing the protection to the
centre tunnel, and raise the front section until it comes out.
• Remove the wiring with the RED cables (+) and the two BLACK
cables (-) to be connected to the battery.
• Remove the 30A main protection fuse.
• Fit the battery, making sure it fits into its seat.
• Connect the battery to the cables.
• Connect the battery to:
Positive pole (+) RED cables

Negative pole (-) 2 BLACK cables.
• Wrench down the battery terminals.
• Refit the 30A main protection fuse previously removed.
• Check that the battery and the wiring harness are correctly
installed, then refit the previously removed protection and se-
cure it in place with the screws.
Removing the battery
• Gain access to the battery as explained in the "Installing the
battery" section.
• Remove the 30A general protection fuse.
• Unscrew the battery terminals to detach the RED (+) and
BLACK (-) cables.
• Remove the battery.
• Refit the 30A general protection fuse in place.
Do not use the vehicle if the battery has not been fitted
correctly and connected to its cables. This may cause
failures and short circuit of the electrical system and its
components.
