3.11 DIGITAL INSTRUMENT BOARD

The digital instrument board features functions that are useful for
a proper use of the vehicle.
When the ignition key is turned to
instrument board for about 3 seconds to automatically test opera-
tion; for the same reason, the back-lighting and warnings lights
will come on too.

The "MALAGUTI" and "Spider Max" logos will thus appear in se-
quence. Lastly the "LOW OIL PRESSURE" message appears for
about 8 seconds to signal that the engine oil pressure control

system is being checked.
If the message does not appear, before starting the vehicle
check the oil level and have the vehicle checked by an

Authorised MALAGUTI Service Centre as soon as you can.
The automatic check is performed every time the ignition key is
turned to
. If the check is performed only partially or not

performed at all, have the vehicle checked by an Authorised
MALAGUTI Service Centre.
When this signal disappears, the following appear:

1) Secondary Menu or Sub-menu (see § 3.11.2)
2) Main Menu (see § 3.11.3)
3) Bar graph showing water temperature and the relative symbol
(see § 3.11.4)

4) Bar graph showing the fuel level and the relative symbol (see
§ 3.11.5)
5) Current time (for adjustment, see § 3.11.7)

To select a function, press the MODE button on the right hand
control (4 - Fig. 17). Operation of the MODE button is illustrated in
the following charts (Fig. 16a/b/c), with the arrow icon and the
relative time the button must be held down. If there is no button
pressing indication, a short pressure is sufficient (about 1 second).
Available functions are divided into Main Menu and Secondary
Menu or Sub-menu (§ 3.11.3)
The digital display can show warning and alarm signals (§ 3.11.6),
which inform the driver when it is time to have the vehicle checked
or when to replace the engine oil; alarm signals are illustrated
and described here below.
If there are several alarms, the relative signals will appear alter-
nately for a few seconds until the problems have been solved.
