TRANSMISSI ON / CRANKSHAFT / KICKSTARTER
CRANKCASE SEPARATION
Refer to Service Information {page 10 - 1) for removal of
neces-
sary parts before separating the crankcase.
Pry out the snapring on the Idckstarter spindle .
Remove the spring retainer and the spring .
Remove the rubber cap.
Remove the bolt and washer holding the gear shift drum .
Loosen the crankcase bolts in a criss -cross pattern in 2 or 3 steps
and remove them.
lay the crankcase on the left side.
Separate the right and the left crankcase halves.
