Front Wheel Removal/Disassembly - Honda 1988 Z50R Service Manual

FRONT WH EELIBRAKE/ SUSPENSION / STEERING
Install the left grip as follows, if it was removed.
Apply Honda Bond A or Honda Grip Cement

inside surface of the grip and to the clean surface of the left han-
dlebar.
Wait 3~5 minutes and install the grip.
Rotate the grip for even application of the adhesive .
NOTE:
Allow the adhesive to dry for an hour before using.
Connect the throttle cable to the t hrottle grip.
Position the throttle housing's boss so it aligns with the hole in
the handlebar.
Tighten the forward screw first , then tighten the rear screw.
TORQUE : 3 N· m(O.3
kg~m,
2.2 ft -Ib )
Install the front number plate with the screw.
Check the throttle operat ion.
FRONT WHEEL
REMOVAL/DISASSEMBL Y
Raise the front wheel off the ground by placing a block or work -
stand under the engine.
Take off the front fork covers.
Remove the front brake adjusting nut and disconnect the brake
cable from the brake arm.
Remove the axle nut.
Holding the front wheel, remove the axle .
Remove the brake panel from the wheel.
Remove the side collar and dust seal.
