WARNING
• Make sure the oil levels in both front fork
legs are equal.
• Uneven oil levels can result in poor han-
dling and a loss of stability.
TIP
• When assembling the front fork leg, be sure to
replace the following parts:
–Inner tube bushing
–Outer tube bushing
–Oil seal
–Oil seal clip
–Dust seal
–O-ring
• Before assembling the front fork leg, make
sure all of the components are clean.
1. Install:
• Oil flow stopper spring "1"
• Oil flow stopper "2"
• Damper rod ring "3"
• Damper rod "4"
• Rebound spring
• Inner tube bushing "5"

a. Install the oil flow stopper spring into the oil
flow stopper.
TIP
Make sure that the oil flow stopper spring is in-
stalled securely into the grooves "a" in the oil
flow stopper.

b. Install the damper rod ring onto the damper
rod.
TIP
Fit the damper rod ring into the damper rod
groove so that the side of the ring with the pro-
jections is facing in the direction shown in the il-
lustration.

c. Install the damper rod and rebound spring to
the inner tube.
TIP
Allow the damper rod to slide slowly down the in-
ner tube until it protrudes from the bottom of the
inner tube. Be careful not to damage the inner
tube.

d. Install the oil flow stopper and inner tube
bushing onto the inner tube "6".

2. Lubricate:
• Inner tube's outer surface
3. Install:
• Inner tube
(in the outer tube)
4. Install:
• Copper washer
• Front fork damper rod bolt
