TROUBLESHOOTING

Any of the following fail to light: headlight, high beam indicator light, taillight, license plate light or meter
light.
TIP
• Before troubleshooting, remove the following part(s):
1. Rider seat
2. Passenger seat
3. Center cover
4. Fuel tank side covers
5. Fuel tank
6. Headlight assembly
1. Check the each bulbs and bulb
sockets condition.
Refer to "CHECKING THE BULBS
AND BULB SOCKETS" on page
8-126.

2. Check the fuses.
(Ignition, signaling system, head-
light, fuel injection system, and
main)

3. Check the battery.

page 8-128.

4. Check the main switch.
Refer to "CHECKING THE
SWITCHES" on page 8-123.

5. Check the dimmer switch.
Refer to "CHECKING THE
SWITCHES" on page 8-123.

6. Check the pass switch.
Refer to "CHECKING THE

Replace the bulb(s) and bulb socket(s).
NG →
Replace the fuse(s).
NG →
• Clean the battery terminals.
• Recharge or replace the battery.

Replace the main switch/immobilizer unit.
NG →
• The dimmer switch is faulty.
• Replace the left handlebar switch.
NG →
• The pass switch is faulty.
• Replace the left handlebar switch.
