Loading Paper in Tray 2 and
the Optional Paper Feed Unit
Paper of different sizes can be loaded
in Tray 2 (standard) and the 500- and
1000-sheet paper feed units (optional)
by adjusting the positions of the side
and end guides.
Note
❒ If the side and end guides are in
the right positions for the paper to
be loaded, the guides do not have
to be adjusted.
• Tray 2 (standard): B5L
• 500-sheet paper feed unit: A3L
• 1000-sheet paper feed unit: A3L

Slowly slide the paper tray out,
until it stops.

Adjust the side guide according
to the size and orientation of the
paper, as follows:
A Release the side guide lock.
B Press the green lever of the side
guide (A A A A ), and then adjust the po-
sition of the guide by moving it in
the direction of the arrow (B B B B ).

Adjust the end guide according to
the size and orientation of the pa-
per by gripping both edges of the
guide (A A A A ), and then moving it in
the direction of the arrow (B B B B ).

Align all four sides of the paper
stack, and then load it in the tray.
Important
❒ Make sure the top of the stack is

not higher than the limit mark
inside the tray.
