In the IP Address Type list, select one of the following:
IPv4
IPv6
DNS

In the Host Address field, type the address of the host configured for syslog.

In the Port field, type the port number on the host to which syslog messages are sent.
The default port is 514.

In the Severity Filter list, select a severity level.
A log records messages equal to or above a configured severity threshold. These
severity levels are available:
Emergency (0). The system is unusable
Alert (1). Action must be taken immediately
Critical (2). Critical conditions
Error (3). Error conditions
Warning (4). Warning conditions
Notice (5). Normal but significant conditions
Informational (6). Informational messages
Debug (7). Debug-level messages

View Trap Logs

Note:
You can save the trap logs as a file by using System Utilities >
Upload File from Switch.
To view trap logs:
1.
Prepare your computer with a static IP address in the 169.254.100.0 subnet, for
example, 169.254.100.201.
2.
Connect an Ethernet cable from an Ethernet port on your computer to an Ethernet port on
the switch.
3.
Launch a web browser.
4.
Enter the IP address of the switch in the web browser address field.
The default IP address of the switch is 169.254.100.100.
The Login screen displays.
5.
Enter the user name and password.
