Configuring a DHCP Pool for a Subnet
Complete these steps:
1.
Under System in the left navigation bar, select DHCP Server.

You should exclude all IP addresses permanently assigned to devices
(such as routers, switches, and servers). Scroll to the second window in
the window, (Optional) Add/Delete DHCP Excluded Ranges.

Enter the first IP address in the range of excluded addresses in the Start
IP Address field. Enter the last address in the range in the End IP Address
field. If you want to exclude only one address, enter it in the Start IP
Address field and leave the End IP Address field blank. Click Add.

You can repeat step 3 to configure multiple ranges of excluded addresses.
5.
Move to the Add/Modify/Delete DHCP Server Pool window at the top of
the window and create the pool:
a.
Under Add New DHCP server pool, enter a name in the Pool Name
box that is significant for the subnet or group of users. Click Add.
b. You can also modify an existing pool. The interface displays existing
pools under Modify/Delete DHCP server pool. For each pool it lists
the name and network address. To edit the pool, click the name.
6.
You will move to the DHCP Pool "<poolname>" window.
