Configuring PPP Authentication for an ISDN
Connection
If you want to ensure that only authorized peers establish a PPP connection
with the demand interfaces on the ProCurve Secure Router, you can configure
PPP authentication. The ProCurve Secure Router supports Password Authen-
tication Protocol (PAP) and Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol
(CHAP) for PPP authentication.
To protect your WAN, ProCurve Networking strongly recommends that you
enable PPP authentication for the ISDN connection.
