1.4.3 RX Reduction
When the received document is longer than the effective recording area length, this function
reduces the received document image up to 75% of its original size.
Even with the RX reduction function ON, reduction will not take place in the following cases.
A) When the received document is longer than the recording paper size and the entire
image will not fit after reduction to 75%, the recording image will be divided into mul-
tiple pages.
B) When the RX reduction function is OFF and the received document is longer than the
recording paper size, the recording image will be divided into multiple pages.
Use the [ ↑ ] or [ ↓ ] keys to select the desired option (ON or OFF), then press the
(1)
[ENTER] key.
RX REDUCTION
1.ON
2.OFF
ON
Recording will occur with reduction to 75% of the original size.
OFF
No reduction will be applied.

After the "OPERATION COMPLETED" message is displayed, press the [STOP] key to
return to the Standby Mode screen.

The primary function of RX reduction is to allow the length of a document to
be adjusted to fit onto a single sheet of available paper. If you would like the
width to be adjusted also, you should set Function 15, Bit 0.
