21. Image stabilization control
21.1 Overview
• The image stabilization control is provided to ensure that the image quality is consistent,
as caused by fluctuating environmental conditions and degraded durability.
• The Temperature Thermistor and Temperature/Humidity Thermistor are installed in the
copier to detect the temperature around the Photo Conductor and absolute humidity.
• An optimum grid voltage and optimum developing bias are applied through calculations
based on the value detected by the Temperature/humidity Sensor and the period of time
through which the Photo Conductor has been rotated.
• The Vpp (Voltage Peak to Peak) value is also varied to prevent image density from
becoming low under conditions of high temperature and high humidity when the number
of copies made increases.
• Vg/Vdc can also be changed using the Tech. Rep. Mode.
