Elevator Section

5.2.1

Elevator mechanism

• The elevator mechanism is operated to select a specific exit port, thereby feeding the
paper out onto a specific exit tray.

5.2.2

Elevator Tray Ascent/Descent

• The Elevator Tray is moved up or down by the Elevator Motor that turns forward or back-
ward to drive the front and rear belts.
• The Elevator Tray Lower Limit Sensor detects the Elevator Tray at its lower limit position.
• The Elevator Tray Upper/Lower Limit Switch is provided for protection when a malfunc-
tion occurs in the finisher.
