Switchback mechanism

5.2.1

Switchback operation

• The Switchback Unit Sensor is deactivated as the trailing edge of the paper moves past
it. After a given period of time, the paper is brought to a temporary stop. As the Switch-
back Motor turns backward, the paper undergoes a switchback operation and is fed to
the Duplex Unit with its trailing edge first.
