Paper level indicator mechanism

• There is a window in the front cover of the drawer for indicating the paper supply level.
• When the Paper Lifting Plate goes up, a red lever appears in the window. The lower the
level of the paper stack, the more the red portion is visible.

Paper feed retry control

• To minimize the occurrence of a paper misfeed, the paper feed sequence is temporarily
halted if the paper fails to reach the Synchronizing Roller Sensor within a predetermined
period of time after the sequence has been started.
• This paper feed retry sequence is performed with Tray2 and Multi Bypass Tray if the
paper fails to reach the Vertical Conveyance Sensor within a predetermined period of
time after the sequence has been started.
• These paper feed sequences are repeated a given number of times. If the paper still fails
to reach the Synchronizing Roller Sensor after the specified number of paper feed
sequences, a paper misfeed condition results.
