ATDC (TCR) Sensor control

• The ATDC (TCR) Sensor is located on the underside of the Developing Unit. The sensor
is a magnetic type that detects the toner-to-carrier ratio (T/C).
• Adjustment of the ATDC (TCR) Sensor is made only when the developer is changed.
A. Magnetic ATDC (TCR) Sensor
• The magnetic permeability (powder density) of the carrier in the developer is measured
to determine the T/C.
• A mylar is provided for the Conveying Screw portion to scrape toner off the surface of the
ATDC (TCR) Sensor.
• Since the ATDC (TCR) Sensor is located on the underside of the Developing Unit, it is
replaced after the developer has been dumped.
